HOW TO SUPPORT IRON CORE
IRON CORE is growing in size every year. Your donation will assist our nonprofit in achieving its goal to provide free adapted strength and conditioning training for youth and adults with a physical or intellectual disability who are involved in a recreational or competitive sport.
Donations and Sponsorships are used for program expenses only such as gym rental, COVID supplies, participant exercise kits (to eliminate sharing), printed material and participant t-shirts.
All program staff are volunteers.
Our participants come from all over the Greater Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky region and play a sport recreationally or competitively such as wheelchair basketball, wheelchair tennis, seated track and field, soccer, martial arts, sled hockey and para-fencing.
Our coaches and directors are volunteers from the University of Cincinnati and Mount Saint Joseph University, majoring in a health science field. Coaches are interviewed then selected based on their leadership skills, communication skills and desire to learn about adaptive sport and adaptive athletes in order to effectively coach our athletes. All coaches are educated regarding SAFESPORT.
